Jurgen Homola - Welcome, Glad You Could Make It ...
Today's
Date:
Drawing from some of the most
pivotal points in his life, Steve Jobs, chief executive officer and co-founder of Apple Computer and of Pixar
Animation Studios, urged graduates to pursue their dreams and see the opportunities in life's setbacks
— including death itself — at the university's 114th Commencement on June 12, 2005 (Courtesy
of Stanford University — www.stanford.edu).
There is one thing that life does exceptionally well and that is
to throw 'curve balls' at us.
Let's just be honest and real for a moment— We all know
it's not just all smooth sailing. We sometimes have to exert HUGE effort to hit these 'curve balls' as we get
thrown these over again and again — and then
some. And as any sensible ball player knows— we miss WAY
more than you hit.
Sadly, many people give up after missing the first
— second — and maybe they will try to hit that curve ball one last time. But then — That's it! Their
life is done... They give up...
I was there more than once. And sometimes I still feel that way.
But — hey — you CAN keep on playing. I can honestly tell you, you will get DARN GOOD AT IT
TOO!
Thankfully, I had people in my life that kept on playing.
All of them are my fans. All of them have left a lasting legacy. I honor them all. They deserve it. Why don't you
pop on over to my Acknowledgements Page and see for yourself...
